Richard Dale Jorgensen, better know as Oso Slick was bornMay 8th 1981 in Hollywood Ca, soon after moved to northernCalifornia where he grew up in the mountains of Tuolumnecounty. Inspired by his father to seek the truth in every situation,started writing poetry at the age of 10, listening to differentstyles of music, punk rock, hip hop, reggae, heavy metal,classic rock, blue grass, etc, he began to write his own lyrics. Atfirst they were songs that he would flow with no beats, at theage of 18 he joined a punk band," The Victims" which laterbecame "Down For A Dozen", he had adjusted his lyrics to fitthat style of music. After being in a punk band for six years,which has helped with his stage presence to this day, hedecided to go solo and peruse his talent in hip hop, but since hedropped out of high school and moved out of his fathers houseat the age of 15, he struggled financially with jobs such as , dishwasher, snowboarding instructor, all types of construction,logging, landscaping, stage hand, and constantly being introuble with the law, his dreams of a life on stage were put onthe back burner.

At the age of 28 and after doing a series of basement projectshe decided become serious about his career and figured outwhat it would take make his first album" Sk8&Destroy". Being aCalifornia native, he is involved with a wide range of extremesports such as skateboarding, snowboarding, and surfing, whichfueled the subjects of his songs, along with life's trials andtribulations. He feels that he can truly express him self throughhis music and activities and considers it all to be an art form thatprovides ourselves with energy that allows us to be a betterperson on the daily basis. Oso does not seek fame and fortune,but a way to connect with people of all creeds and colors allover the world. His ultimate goal is to provide a good time foranyone, a moment in time where we can let go of the stress inour every day lives and live in the present, for life is too short tobe caught up in the past or future, all we have is now.
